In the womb

We were so excited the moment we knew we were pregnant! And even though the excitement never went away, it was put to the side for a few months as I tried to get over the all day nausea! Yea, don’t think for a moment you won’t be reminded of those few months every chance I get! Apparently you did not like ANY food! I couldn’t keep anything down for weeks and even though we were assured that you were growing at a normal rate, we started to wonder why it was taking you so long to make mama’s belly pop for the rest of the world to notice. Eventually the sickness went away and slowly but surely mama started getting a belly:

Merry Christmas!

It was so hard keeping you a secret for a little over two weeks, but with Christmas right around the corner we wanted to wait and surprise every one with a special little gift. Onesies for each of the grandparents: “I love my Abuela & Abuelo” and “I love Oma & Opa.” Tia Diana and Uncle Jay and Auntie Mishi each got one too!

Here are their reactions:

The beginning

Dad was returning from a trip to New Jersey’s Immigration Court.  I picked him up at the airport, but didn’t say anything until we arrived home.  As soon as we arrived at our apartment, I blurted out “I think I’m pregnant!” I had taken a test but the lines were just so confusing to read – we immediately went to the store to buy another less confusing test – a simple “pregnant” or “not pregnant” – no lines or signs.  When this little word appeared we both agreed to keep it our little secret until Christmas…after all you were the best gift we could give our families! Here are a few pictures of you along the way…
